DOTA 2 International 2019 1st Major
Since the ESL Minor in Genting, Malaysia is going to host the DOTA PRO Circuit Major for the 1st time.

Dota 2 is about to get bigger with PGL with the upcoming Kuala Lumpur (KL) Major tournament. It is set to be the biggest Dota 2 tournament to be held in Malaysia, which is a big deal. The KL Major is also Malaysia’s first ever Major status tournament for the Dota Pro Circuit for the 2018/19 season. The tournament will see 16 international top Dota 2 teams from all over the world including Evil Geniuses, OG, and Team Secret come out and battle to win their prize pool money of US$1,000,000.

The tournament will take place November 9-18, but only the playoffs, November 16-18, will be played in front of the live audience at the Axiata Arena.

New Rules
A new rule implemented for this season is that no DOTA 2 Pro teams will receive a direct invite at any of the Majors and Minors for TI9.
Instead 16 teams attending a Major will be determined via regional qualifiers.
The winners of the Minor preceding a Major will be automatically qualified for the Major.
This season there will only be 5 Majors and 5 Minors.
Now all teams who attend DPC events will earn DPC Points, not only top 4 as opposed to previous season.
Teams who do not make it through may then join the Minor qualifiers afterwards.
This means that the defending Champion OG, who is not attending this Major will have to attend the next Minor in order to gain sufficient DPC points to enter for TI9.

Tickets start from MYR180 (ANCIENT) for a 3-day pass free seating category, and go all the way to MYR600 (IMMORTAL) for numbered seats for all 3 days, and a goodie bag with free gifts inside.
